POSITION: Data Engineer
Full-time job, 40 hours per week
Pay/Salary: $156,166.00 year.

JOB DUTIES:
Automate routine infrastructure maintenance tasks using Python,
AWS CloudFormation, and GCP Deployment Manager. Architect
and manage large-scale data processing systems on AWS and GCP,
utilizing Amazon S3 and Google Cloud Storage for storage,
Redshift and BigQuery for warehousing, and EMR and Dataproc for
computation. Develop custom MapReduce programs in Java for
data processing on Hadoop in both AWS and GCP environments.
Build and maintain ETL processes using AWS Glue and GCP
Dataflow, integrating Java and Scala scripts to streamline data
workflows. Implement data partitioning strategies in Redshift and
BigQuery to improve query performance and data management,
using Python for automation. Lead the development of data
governance frameworks for hybrid cloud-based data infrastructure,
ensuring data quality and compliance. Design and implement data
ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka on AWS and GCP, with
integration scripts written in Python and Scala. Work under
supervision. Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites
throughout USA is required.
EDUCATION : Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
/Information Systems /Engineering (any)/Business Analytics or
closely related field with Six (6) months of experience in the job
offered or as an IT Consultant or Analyst or Programmer or
Developer or Engineer or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE : Experience of Six (6) months working with Python and Hadoop is
required. Travel and/or relocation is required to unanticipated client
sites within USA. International travel is not required. The frequency
of travel is currently not known as it depends on the client and
project requirement that cannot be currently anticipated. Employer
provides Information technology services to various clients in USA
and hence implementing projects will require such travel.
